Tunisia

Tunisia is located on the north of the African continent, just over a hundred miles from the Italian island of Sardinia. This former French colony borders Algeria to the west, Libya to the East and the Mediterranean to the north. The relatively flat plains that run along the Mediterranean coast have many fine beaches, charming towns and Roman ruins. The interior of the country is more mountainous in the north giving way to the endless sand dunes of the Sahara in the far south.
