Dana Nature Reserve
Established in 1989, Dana is Jordan’s largest nature reserve covering some 320 square kilometres of spectacular mountains and wadis along the face of the Great Rift Valley. Largely untouched by the main tourist routes, Dana offers the perfect escape as there are only small simple lodges dotted through its interior. The best way to see Dana is to walk through its diverse scenery and witness its 700 plant species, 190 bird species, 37 mammals and 36 reptiles. There are a number of trails you can take, all of which are superb experiences. Dana is actively involved in preserving its natural habitat and is very much involved in sustainable tourism and its eco-friendly activities.Suggested itineraries
