Diving holidays
If you are looking to go on a specific diving holiday then we can put together a dive itinerary to suit your requirements. Jet off to a world-class dive destination such as Sipadan in Malaysia, or Fiji in the South Pacific. The first thing to decide is if you want a land-based dive holiday or a dive holiday onboard a live-aboard.
Land-based dive holidays offer a great option if you are holidaying with family or with non-divers. It offers more flexibility in terms of when you dive and what else you can do besides diving, but the number of dives can be more limited. Most destinations will operate boat diving to get to the reef and nearby dive sites, but there are some destinations such as Bonaire in the Dutch Antilles, or parts of the Red Sea where you can shore dive. This can be a great option for those who fail to find their sea legs and suffer from seasickness. It also means that you don’t have to stick to boat schedules and so can be more flexible with diving times.
Live-aboard diving is most suited to the more serious diver or for those looking to do as many dives as possible during their holiday. The main advantage of a live-aboard diving holiday is that you can access remote dive sites and avoid any crowds. A typical day on a live-aboard will adopt the following routine: eat, sleep, dive, eat, sleep, dive….for some people this will sound like the perfect dive holiday! If not, then perhaps live-aboard diving is not for you. However, some live-aboards will incorporate land excursions during the itinerary so you can explore the local area – topside.
Although a live-aboard dive holiday may initially look like an expensive option, it can in fact work out good value as all meals will usually be included and you do get more dives in, typically unlimited diving is offered.
Live-aboard boats in the most desirable diving locations can get booked up far in advance, so to avoid any disappointed plan your live-aboard dive holiday early.
