British Airways hand baggage restrictions

Due to recent events immediate changes have been made to hand baggage restrictions. British Airways is implementing the UK Government’s new restrictions on cabin baggage on all flights departing UK airports, however other airline’s restrictions may vary.

Hand baggage

All customers are asked to ensure they comply with hand baggage restrictions to prevent delays at airport security search points.
  • Air travellers departing from a UK airport can now carry onboard ONE bag no bigger than 56cm x 45cm x 25cm.
  • If you are travelling from or transferring through an airport in the EU, Albania, Kosovo, Iceland, Norway or Switzerland from Monday, 6 November 2006.please note that you may now carry some liquids in your hand baggage, although restrictions apply.
  • Relaxed restrictions on the carriage of liquids through airport security check points on flights departing the USA and Canada.
  • Other airports worldwide may be implementing their own restrictions.
