Victoria Falls

The Victoria Falls lie on the border between Zambia and Zimbabwe and are undeniably one of the great natural wonders of the world. They are a breathtaking sight from either country, and were named by locals "Mosi O Tunya" - the smoke that thunders - because the cloud of spray and dramatic noise they create can be seen and heard from many miles away. However, there is much to do and see at Victoria Falls apart from the Falls themselves - white water rafting, canoeing, scenic flights, river trips, wildlife safaris and even the highest bungee jump in the world off the Victoria Falls bridge are possibilities. The town of Victoria Falls also has a good craft market and local shops.
