TLH Heliskiing

To complement our new Canadian ski programme in Whistler, we have teamed up with TLH Heliskiing to provide our guests with one of life’s ultimate ski experiences.

Located in the South Chilcotin Mountains, 200 km north of Vancouver, Tyax Mountain Lake Resort offers you the perfect venue to experience the delights of heliskiing either as a couple, a group of friends or as a family.

Each day experienced and professional mountain guides choose the best terrain from 830,000 acres and endeavour to find you immaculate powder. One day you may be skiing on glaciers or open alpine bowls, the next in amongst snow covered trees. The added advantage of TLH Heliskiing is there are only two groups per helicopter compared to 3 or 4 with many other operators.

A choice of accommodation is available - either main Tyax Lodge where all rooms are en-suite with satellite TV and balconies, or in their flagship chalet “Spirit Bear” which comes with its own helicopter, 2 private mountain guides, private chef and private massage therapist. All guests have access to the in-resort facilities which include a gym, sauna, hot tub and snowmobiles for trips across the frozen lake.

With over 300 runs and an annual snowfall of between 14 and 18 meters TLH offers a superb opportunity to experience breathtaking scenery and exhilarating powder skiing, a skiers dream.

• Location Tyax Lodge and Spirit Bear are located 4 hours drive north of Whistler or 6 hours from Vancouver. By helicopter the transfer times are ½ an hour from Whistler and 1 hour from Vancouver
• Getting there Direct British Airways flights from London Heathrow to Vancouver (9½ hrs) and then bus or helicopter transfers to Tyax Lodge and Spirit Bear
