The Losari Coffee Plantation

Set on a lush hillside surrounded by a working coffee plantation in a stunning area, relatively unexplored and surrounded by eight volcanoes.

The Losari Coffee Plantation still functions as it did in the early 1900s. Thirty tons of organic Robusta coffee beans are produced annually and they are sun roasted, handpicked, sundried and finally, traditionally roasted.

Each of Losari’s 32 villas is unique. They are all located on the hilltop in the middle of the plantation and are all reconstructed from original Javanese Limasans, Joglos or Kudos houses.

All food from the Losari kitchen team thrives on using fresh organic fruit, vegetables and spices grown here on the plantation and due to the cooler temperatures they are all in abundance. A great way to spend the day is with the chef who can take you to a local market to haggle for the fresh ingredients that they do not produce at the plantation and then you can be taught how to cook traditional Indonesian cuisine.

After a tiring day exploring this amazingly beautiful area relax at the Plantations award winning spa. The Spa offers Indonesian herbal treatments with traditional beauty recipes hailing from the Royal Palace of Yogyakarta.
