Grumeti Reserves is a private 340,000 acre (140,000 hectare) safari destination bordering the Serengeti National Park to the north east. It is part of the greater Serengeti ecosystem and sits in the path of the great wildebeest migration, providing excellent game viewing.

Sitting atop a hill with awe-inspiring views of the plain below, Sasakwa Hill Lodge is the pinnacle of safari luxury in the style of an English manor house. Managed by Singita, the service and attention to detail here are impeccable. No expense has been spared in furnishing the seven individual cottages, which sit along the ridge of the hill and offer panoramic views for miles around. Each cottage is set in its own secluded garden, the perfect place for guests to relax and forget the world. Choose between your heated infinity edged plunge pool, one of your terraces (equipped with Swarovski telescope), or the opulent drawing room. Each cottage has between one and four bedrooms with an ensuite bathroom (with large shower and rolltop bath) attached to each.

When you are feeling refreshed, there is an array of activities to choose from, as well as excellent day and night game drives. A stable of 16 beautiful horses is available for experienced riders, with all riding clothes provided. Guests can also try their hand at archery, have a relaxing massage in the spa, or set up a tennis tournament on the two outdoor courts. The lodge is ideal for couples and families, with just nine safari vehicles (for three camps) covering an area almost the size of the Maasai Mara.
