Sabuk

Laikipia, Kenya

Sabuk is an alluring haven on the edge of the Northern Frontier District offering stunning views of the Laikipia plains. This intimate lodge is a unique community experience offering a wealth of safari activities.

Sabuk is a unique bush home perched high on a cliff overlooking the Ewaso Nyiro River, which flows past the camp all year round and beyond the Laikipia plains towards Mount Kenya and the Karissa Hills. Sabuk is perfect for guests looking for a true wilderness adventure in a beautiful setting. Each of the five open-fronted thatched cottages has its own unique design and has been handcrafted from local materials. Although game drives are available, guests are encouraged to leave the vehicles behind and enjoy the excellent walking and guided camel treks. The emphasis at Sabuk is on community, and guests are able to interact with the local Laikipiak Maasai community to learn about their tribal skills, tracking techniques and the medicinal uses of the local flora.
