Situated on the outskirts of the Great Thar desert, Rohet is a peaceful retreat full of charm and character.

Rohet is a 375 year old Rajput style fort set in rural countryside, yet just half an hours drive from Jodhpur. It is a true desert oasis with its flower filled gardens, a swimming pool and beautiful rooms with lake views. The hotel is situated on the edge of the local village and is run by the ruling Maharajah and his family.
You can laze by the pool or drink tea on the immaculate lawns or alternatively, for the more active there are plenty of excursions available.
The owner of Rohet has an infectious passion for horses and riding and will happily take you around his stables and out for a day’s riding, discovering local villages and the local wildlife. There is also the opportunity to stay in their new and extremely romantic Wilderness Camp (see seperate property). Also on offer at the hotel are cookery lessons, village safaris, camel safaris and picnics in the countryside.
