Rekero Camp

Rekero Camp is a 7 tent camp, situated amidst the teeming mass of wildlife in the Maasai Mara area, near the Mara and Talek rivers.

The unrivalled location and ambience of Rekero Camp allows one to escape from modern day life into the heart of the African bush. The camp is owner-managed by one of the original pioneering families who arrived in Africa in 1889. Guests will experience old time hospitality, combined with outstanding guiding as well as a unique insight into the Maasai Mara’s wildlife, culture, flora and fauna. Accommodation consists of just seven traditional “safari style” tents with ensuite facilities.

The camp lies on the banks of the Talek River and is perfectly situated for the annual migration from the Serengeti through the Maasai Mara. Wildlife viewing can be done on foot with experienced Maasai and Il Dorobo trackers, or in custom-made 4 x 4 vehicles which allow intimate yet unobtrusive access to a large variety of animals.
