Offbeat Meru
Offbeat Meru provides guests with an exclusive experience in the remote wildlife area of Meru National Park. This small six-roomed tented camp is located on the pretty Bisanandi River just outside Meru National Park.
The park has a huge variety of landscapes from open savannah plains to riverine forest and swamps, and is home to the big five as well as extraordinarily varied birdlife.
Offbeat Meru is set above the stunning Bisanadia River, the camp has 6 large tents all with en-suite bathrooms with bucket showers, wash basin and flush loos. The spacious tents are furnished with huge beds and make use of solar lighting.
The area can be explored by vehicle or on foot and has excellent game viewing opportunities, which include lion, leopard, cheetah, elephant, black and white rhinos, giraffe, zebra and all kinds of antelope. Meru is also very well known for its bird watching.
