Kiwayu
Kiwayu is a rustic lodge situated on a remote and deserted coastline. There are just 18 spacious and beautifully decorated local-style cottages, all with uninterrupted ocean views.
Kiwayu is set on a stunning deserted beach on the north coast of Kenya. The lodge has 18 cottages built amongst the sand dunes, overlooking a sheltered lagoon. The palm-thatched cottages are vast, with massive double beds, bathroom, dressing room and large verandah with hammocks. The bar area is very informal and stylish, while the restaurant serves delicious fresh seafood with a distinctive Italian flavour. Activities include windsurfing, sailing, dhow trips, snorkelling, water-skiing, fishing and diving.
Approximately 3 kilometres from Kiwayu Safari Village lies "The Baobabs of Kitangani" - an entirely private island for two. Nestling between the enormous ageless Baobabs, it is the perfect setting for a couple who want total privacy and comfort. There is a living room perched graciously under a baobab, leading to a spectacular raised bedroom with ensuite facilities. There is an abundant amount of space and unique little hideaways to totally relax and enjoy the unspoilt scenery that surrounds. Staff and boatmen are on hand and there is over a kilometre of beach exclusive for two.
