Kitich Camp
Kitich Camp is located in the remote Matthews Mountain Range, a rarely visited area of the Northern Frontier District in Kenya. Kitich Camp nestles in a verdant grove of fig trees, indigenous flowering shrubs and prehistoric Cycad palms.
Kitich Camp is a lush oasis amid arid surroundings and is one of the real conservation successes of Kenya. A grass roots approach that has resulted in a win-win situation for people, wildlife and the environment. The concept of Kitich Camp is one of enjoying nature simply, without impacting on the environment.
The accommodation at Kitich camp is in large semi-permanent tents, with an open bathroom (bucket shower, long drop loo and wash basin) right behind the tent. The tents are very comfortable, with good beds, small cupboard and table, and a veranda.
