Kipungani

Kipungani is set on a remote beach at the southerly tip of Lamu Island, off the north east coast of Kenya. Each of the 14 bandas has a private luxurious ocean facing veranda.

Kipungani is located at the junction of a protected mangrove channel and the end of a beautiful 12-kilometre white beach on the southwestern tip of Lamu Island. The lodge has 14 bandas made from reed matting and palm thatch, each spaced out along the beach frontage. The rooms have a king-sized bed, a bathroom and a veranda with local Funzi (day) beds. The lodge has a swimming pool and an open dining room.

There are plenty of activities to keep guests busy, from snorkelling on local coral reefs and creek and ocean sailing on an Arab dhow, to kayaking and windsurfing in the channel.
