Set on the banks of the Grumeti River, Faru Faru is a small and intimate lodge comprising just six rooms, located in the path of the annual great wildebeest migration.
Grumeti Reserves is a private 340,000 acre (140,000 hectare) safari destination bordering the Serengeti National Park to the northeast. Part of the greater Serengeti ecosystem it sits in the path of the great wildebeest migration providing excellent game viewing.
Situated on the banks of the Grumeti River, Faru Faru offers an intimate hideaway from which to enjoy this unique area. Each of the six rooms has a large picture window overlooking the river offering the opportunity for excellent game viewing without even leaving your room. Outdoor showers add to the African bush experience and guests can also take a dip in one of the lodge’s two swimming pools.
In addition to day and night game drives, guests can make full use of the facilities at Sasakwa Hill Lodge, including tennis and horse riding. Faru Faru is completely unfenced so that animals are free to wander close to the lodge as well as coming to drink at the nearby watering hole, which it overlooks.Ideal for couples and families with just nine safari vehicles (for three camps) covering an area almost the size of the Maasai Mara.
