The Dutch House, or Doornberg, as the original mansion was named, is set near its sister property, The Sun House, above the old fort of Galle. Unlike its sister hotel, the Dutch House provides a complete escape from the town with views obscured by dense foliage. Instead you have 4 sumptuous suites, with period Dutch antique furniture, rich fabrics and contemporary art.

The expansive gardens are full of tropical plants and lead towards an infinity pool hidden behind the sunken edge of the lawns. Here the frangipani trees reach up from the hillside below to dip their fronds in the water.

The mouth-watering breakfasts are served in your room, terrace or the garden and other meals can be arranged to be taken at The Sun House.
