Campi ya Kanzi - Camp Fire

Campi ya Kanzi

Campi ya Kanzi offers the ultimate in tented luxury and a truly magical African experience. Accommodation consists of six tented cottages set on wooden platforms, with thatched roofs and ensuite bathrooms.

Campi ya Kanzi means ‘the camp of hidden treasures’ and lies in a unique area of outstanding natural beauty called the Chyulu Hills. The spectacular scenery ranges from savanna grasslands to green river woodlands and cool mountain forests.

Each of the six tented cottages has stunning views over the Tsavo Hills and Mount Kilimanjaro, and features either twin beds or a king-size bed made of local wood and linen specially imported from Italy. Tembo House lies at the heart of the camp where meals are served and stories of the day can be swapped by the log fire. The food at Campi ya Kanzi is outstanding, with meals consisting of homemade fresh pasta and risotto which are all part of what is a distinctly Italian/Maasai experience.

Safaris at Campi ya Kanzi are relaxed, focusing around the individual and the preferred game activity. Private game drives can be taken in one of the six Land Rover Defenders, or walking safaris can lead you right into the heart of the surrounding bush. All guides are experienced trackers with local knowledge and are eager to show off their beautiful country. Not only can one see a whole wealth of wildlife including elephant, lion and leopard, but also learn about local medicinal plants and Maasai culture.
