Cal Reiet

Cal Reiet is a beautiful country house within walking distance of Santanyi and a short drive of sandy beaches, in the south east of the island. Its location and beautiful gardens combine to make it a much sought after property. It can sleep up to 12.

Cal Reiet is a traditional Mallorcan country house that dates back to 1888. It is located just a 10 minute walk from the centre of the pretty village Santanyi, yet in the countryside surrounded by fields. From the terrace on the 1st floor there are great views over both. The village has a fabulous market twice a week and several nice restaurants and bars, it is also very well know for its ceramics and artisan shops.

The original thick stone walls of the house create a cool, calm interior. Painted white, they set off the beautiful, original Mallorcan pieces of furniture, paintings and artefacts in the house. All the rooms, with the exception of the main living room, are fairly spacious. The high ceilings and original tiled floors are a real feature and give the house its cool and spacious ambience.

The owner has given a great deal of thought to the garden and the gated swimming pool area, which is behind the house. There is an enormous 20m pool beside a wonderful pool house containing a fully equipped kitchen, barbeque, covered dining area and a shower room with changing facilities. There is a separate house at the front of the property, which the nannies use to look after the children. This has a small courtyard area with sandpit and swings and plenty of space inside for creative play. This is also where the satellite TV is situated.
