Bhainsrorgarh is a beautiful boutique property situated in a quiet, yet stunning part of rural Rajasthan. The 5-bedroom fort is located on a cliff top overlooking the Chambal River.

Situated south-west of Kota, and accessed from Udaipur, Jaipur or Ranthambore National Park, Bhainsrorgarh is perfect for those wanting something a little different on their itinerary around Rajasthan. Visiting this area is very much like travelling back in time where you can uncover traditional Rajput villages and warm and charming service.

The hotel dates from the 18th century, and has been lovingly restored by the present family who now also run the hotel. The hotel has 5 rooms all with balconies with views over the river and hills - they are all tastefully furnished to a high standard. All rooms are air-conditioned and are en suite with showers.

There is one dining room, but if the weather is good you can eat on the terrace. The food served is local Indian and they offer alcoholic drinks and room service.

There is much to do around the property including taking a boat out on the river at sunset. You can visit the towns of Bundi and Kota, and there are some interesting 12th and 13th century temples at Menal and Bijolia. There are also possibilities to take camel or horse safaris in the local area.
