Aquapura, a converted 19th Century manor house, lies in the beautiful Douro valley nestled amidst vineyards and overlooking the river Douro, in the heart of a UNESCO world heritage site. The Douro region is rich in culture, tradition and gastronomy, and famous for its wine and port making.
This hotel has 50 contemporary rooms and suites, many with panoramic views to the surrounding vineyards, the river and 8 hectares of lush green gardens. The contemporary designed Villas do Douro are situated on the bank overlooking the river and have decked roof terraces and plunge pools. The Villas da Vinha, located closer to the hotel, are surrounded by vineyards and have three shared pools. They are decorated in a more traditional in style using rustic stone and rich fabrics.
From the hotel you can explore this fascinating local area, take a boat trip on the Douro, try local Portuguese cuisine and taste the fantastic regional wines.
