Angsana Ihuru

Angsana Resort has 45 private beachfront villas fringing an almost circular island in the North Male Atoll. It has some of the best diving and snorkelling sites to be had anywhere and a fabulous spa too.

Just 20 minutes by speedboat from the airport, Ihuru Island, home to Angsana Resort and Spa, is almost picture perfect, with its white sand beaches sloping into the blue waters of the lagoon. The 45 beachfront villas with thatched roofs and private gardens are dotted around the circumference, and each has a terrace leading onto the beach. Some also come with a private open-air jet pool. The interiors are contemporary and unfussy, with bold use of tropical colours that bring the rooms to life.

This very eco-conscious resort has a fully certified PADI dive school, a water sports centre and a fabulous spa.

Although there is only one restaurant, dining options are not limited as there are many possibilities for private and romantic meals such as desert island picnics, candle lit beach dinners and in-villa dining.
