Set in the foothills of the majestic Himalaya mountain range, above the holy city of Rishikesh and overlooking the sacred Ganges River, sits Ananda, one of the world’s greatest spas – certainly the setting is incomparable.

The 75 rooms and suites are set within the estate of the Maharaja of Tehri-Garwal’s and have views towards the Palace, the river or Rishikesh, a town renowned for its yoga and meditation schools.

The spa delivers treatments from the ancient Ayurvedic method but in a contemporary Western spa environment. The aim of such treatments is to balance the mind with the body. Clinical treatments for weight loss as well as therapeutic detoxification, de-stressing and cleansing treatments are all under the guidance of qualified doctors and nutritionists who will create a personalised course of treatment for you including your diet during your stay. Apart from spa cuisine, the restaurants provide a variety of pan-Indian dishes, Oriental and western food.
