Albana Real
Albana Real is a small friendly hotel decorated in ’’Art Nouveau’’ style. All 37 bedrooms and 4 suites contain hand-carved wooden features and some with views of the Matterhorn mountain. The hotel is a five minute walk to the Klein Matterhorn lift.
The Albana has been superbly renovated, becoming one of Zermatt’s most exclusive four star hotels. Willy Ling, the owner, has created a very relaxed atmosphere epitomised by the fact that the bar stays open until the last guest goes to bed.
All the bedrooms are well furnished with hand-carved wooden features and have lovely en-suite bathrooms. Located by the river it is only a couple of minutes walk to the high street and five minutes to the Klein Matterhorn lift. There are two bars, of which the ’’Barcadero’’ has a distinct maritime feel - the restaurant section (supplement applicable) has been decorated as if it was the inside of an old galleon.
