About Giles
Giles joined Scott Dunn 16 years ago to start the tailormade programme. Travel has always been in his blood. He grew up in Jamaica and Zambia, spent 10 years exploring some of the world's wildest places as a geophysical engineer, 5 years back in Zambia running his own walking safari company, before moving to London – to settle down.
Giles now focuses on the development of the tailormade product and looks after the IT function in the company – someone has to do it!
Travels
All over Africa. Papua New Guinea, Sarawak, Burma, Pakistan, Nepal, Cameroon and the deserts of North Africa – then 15 years developing the product for Scott Dunn.
Hot picks
I always say my favourite place is the last place I have been – that would be Kizingoni Houses in Lamu - a family favourite. We love the unspoilt wilderness, endless beaches, watersports and relaxed atmosphere of Lamu.
Where next is a more exciting question. I am planning a trip to Nihiwatu in Sumba or an adventure combining a Himilayan trekking holiday in Sikkim, including a couple of days in Calcutta, to give my senses a challenge before fullfilling a lifelong dream to visit the Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
After that Brazil is very high on my hit list but that will be a family adventure taking in the Pantanal and the coast of Bahia.
