Bastille Festival highlights South Africa's diversity

People planning to visit South Africa's Cape Winelands next month could be forgiven for thinking they have wandered into the centre of Paris by mistake.

The quaint town of Franschhoek is one of the oldest settlements in the country, having been founded by a small number of French refugees in the 17th century. Although it has grown slightly since those days, it has managed to maintain its European roots and it is still widely referred to as "French Corner"....
