Visit Jordan for the Amman International Theatre Festival
The Amman International Theatre Festival was first held in 1994 and it has since gone on to get bigger and better every year.
People who have been lucky enough to experience a luxury holiday in Jordan in the past will realise that Amman is renowned for its culture and travellers may have scoured some of its many art galleries and museums.
The festival - which will be held in April 2012 - is the only event in the Middle East to be staged by an independent theatre company.
Visitors will have ample opportunity to take in some of the fascinating performances, workshops and movie days as the festival runs for eight days.
Most of the productions are staged in English and Arabic and one of the main purposes of the event is to showcase the fantastic work of Arabian artists to a global audience.
Amman is a fascinating destination at any time of the year, as it is increasingly cosmopolitan and yet still manages to retain plenty of evidence of its ancient origins.
