See spectacular ski demonstrations in St Anton

Winter sports enthusiasts enjoying a luxury ski holiday in St Anton am Arlberg can take in a spectacular live demonstration every Wednesday evening.

The Tourism Association and the Ski School Arlberg have joined forces to put on the dazzling ski shows, entitled Schneetreiben - The Snow Must Go On, on a weekly basis.

Guests may wish to leave their luxury chalet to attend the free 45-minute presentation, which gets underway at 21:00 local time.

Held in the resort's impressive World Cup Stadium, the demonstrations taking place in 2012 will be centred around an historical theme.

Talented skiers will perform daring jumps to symbolise how the sport has developed over the years.

"[The show] effortlessly interweaves through historical developments of skiing from its beginnings to the present day using the latest technology," a tourism representative remarked.

St Anton has long been a firm favourite among skiing enthusiasts thanks to its vast array of top class slopes and the fact the town has maintained its unique charm.
