Mozambique national park to receive new wildlife
Tourism chiefs are hoping that the addition of new animals at Zinave National Park will tempt more people to take luxury holidays in Mozambique.
According to the reserve's administrator Antonio Bacar, a number of buffaloes, elephants, zebras and impalas will be transferred from the famous Kruger National Park in South Africa, CanalMoz reports.
This forms part of an agreement that has been signed between Mozambique and South Africa aimed at improving the safari opportunities in the former. Last year, 50 zebras were relocated as part of the arrangement between the two nations.
Zinave National Park was established in 1972 and forms part of the Greater Limpopo Transfrontier Park.
Mozambique is also building a very strong reputation as a beach holiday hotspot. The country is unique in that it possesses a rugged African charm, but also benefits from a lengthy and stunning coastline.
More and more travellers are finding it difficult to resist the lure of the nation's white, sandy beaches and abundance of thriving coral reefs.
