Head for a peaceful stay at Lake Niassa
People who are looking to get away for a stress-free break will find few better options than a luxury holiday in Mozambique.
The African nation is renowned for its beautiful, long, sandy beaches and is becoming a firm favourite among sun-seeking British travellers.
For the ultimate relaxing holiday, there are not many places in the world that are more peaceful than Lake Niassa. Measuring 560km, it is the ninth-largest lake in the world and it is renowned for its crystal clear water and thriving marine life.
The beach is also in close proximity, which makes the destination an absolute must for people planning a tranquil escape.
Last year, the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) officially declared Lake Niassa a nature reserve, which means the species that live in the vicinity will be safeguarded.
A WWF spokesperson at the time commented: "The declaration will help protect the species and natural habitats of one of the largest and most biologically diverse freshwater lakes in the world."
