Fantastic skiing conditions to be found in Europe
Those lucky enough to be heading off on a luxury ski holiday to the Alps this week will find excellent conditions when they arrive at their resort.
Many places across the continent have encountered the heaviest snowfall seen for 30 years during the past month, the Daily Mail reports.
St Anton has seen 600cm of snow fall on its pistes in the past four weeks, which is up to six-times more than skiers would normally find in mid-January.
Val d'Isere has also had its fair share of fresh powder, with its many challenging slopes being coated with 208cm of snow.
Temperatures have risen in the past few days and the snow clouds have cleared. This is actually good news for winter sports enthusiasts, as the snow has a chance to settle down and skiers can take to the slopes in glorious sunshine.
A number of exciting events have been lined up in Val d'Isere this month, including the classical music festival Classicaval, which will take place between 24th and 26th January.
