Watch the incredible migration across the Linyanti reserve

Travellers considering where to stay in a luxury tented camp in Botswana could choose to head to the Linyanti reserve in order to see the unforgettable sight of the annual wildlife migration.

The region's swamps offer a fantastic location to view the migration of many of the country's animals as it provides the perfect opportunity to spot the big five, Botswana Tourism explained.

With many of the animals from across the north of Botswana passing through the area, it is a fantastic place for visitors to view large herds of buffalo and elephant, as well as zebra and wildebeest.

Another of the benefits of the Linyanti reserve is that it offers the chance to see these fantastic animals as part of a small group - rather than being surrounded by other wildlife enthusiasts.

"Perhaps the greatest attraction of this part of Botswana is the feeling it gives of extreme isolation and being completely removed from the world as we know it," the tourism group added.

Due to its swamp lands, the region is also an excellent place to view some of the most magnificent birds in Africa.
