See Jordan on two wheels with Biking Jordan
Visitors on luxury holidays in Jordan can see some of the country's most famous attractions in a new way - by taking part in a bike ride.
The Biking Jordan initiative is holding the Don't Drive ... Lets Bike event on 25th November 2011.
Hosted by the Biking Jordan Training Centre and Madaba Tourism Development & Heritage Preservation Association, the race will begin in the famous mosaic city of Madaba.
Cyclists will then ride along 32 km of the King's Way to the finishing point at Herod's Palace on Mukawir.
A collection of beautiful ruins and ancient columns, the site has historical significance as it was once the fortress of Herod the Great.
Stunning views across Jordan can also be experienced from the summit of the hill.
Madaba is also famous for the huge range of thermal treatments from its natural hot springs, which may appeal to those wanting to relax after taking part in Biking Jordan.
