Driving adventures in Namibia 'great for families'

Taking a luxury family holiday in Namibia could provide excitement for all members of the family, with adventures on the open road highly recommended.

Offering advice on how to make the trip truly memorable, Rhys Powell, sales and marketing manager for Namibia Tourism Board, explained that if people hire a car they can head out and create their own experiences.

He suggested that children love this type of trip as you can stop and explore an area whenever they see something which interests them, with the wildlife often proving to be the big attraction.

"If you want to go for the birding it's there, if you want to go for the landscapes, photography, wildlife - you can do," Mr Powell added.

Namibia has a vast and varied landscape for families to explore, varying from the sand dunes of the Sossusvlei through to the lush greenery which grows in the Kunene River region.
