Tailor made holidays: Chile has 'year-round warmth' and beautiful scenery
The South American country of Chile is a perfect destination for tailor made holidays, due in part to its fantastic climate and astounding natural beauty.
That is the opinion of travel expert Chris Leadbeater, who wrote in the Daily Mail about the "sliver of a country" with so much to offer.
Mr Leadbeater, who won the silver prize from the Latin America Travel Association for his writing about the South American continent, said that Chile is more or less consistently warm.
"[Chile is] a 4000-mile sliver of a country that offers vast variety," he wrote.
"Culture galore in the lively capital Santiago; year-round warmth in the north, where it hems Peru; chilly beauty amid the peaks and glaciers of Torres Del Paine National Park in Patagonia."
The north of Chile (for instance the Atacama desert) is dry and hot, while the middle of the country is more Mediterranean in climate.
