Luxury Ski holidays: Head to Zermatt for great snow
Those planning luxury ski holidays in the Alps are recommended to book a chalet in the Swiss resort of Zermatt which has seen fresh snow fall lately.
Writing in the Telegraph today, a Ski Club of Great Britain representative suggested the legendary resort was a good destination for those looking to book a ski trip as it is predicted to receive another covering later this week.
Describing Zermatt, the Ski Club of Great Britain said: "The area is extensive and there is something to keep skiers and boarders of all abilities entertained."
The representative heaped praise on Zermatt, labelling it as "one of the prettiest resorts in Switzerland" thanks mainly to the towering Matterhorn peak that overlooks the resort.
Zermatt has some of the highest pistes in Europe with skiing available up to 3800m and the recent snow is likely to mean that the many peaks of the region will be in perfect condition for those looking for top quality slopes.
The Swiss resort is "renowned for some of the best mountain cuisine too, so if you're a powder hound and a foodie, this may well be the resort for you", according to the Ski Club of Great Britain.
