Tailor made holidays: Visit the Maldives for 'luxury personified'

People planning luxury tailor made holidays should consider a trip to the Maldives, as the island nation offers pure opulence.

That is according to radio presenter and national treasure Nicholas Parsons, who told the Daily Telegraph that his trip to the destination with his wife was his "best ever" holiday.

"We stayed in a beautiful little chalet at the edge of the ocean, where you could literally swim out of your front door," he told the national news provider.

"The view was heavenly and the bed in the villa was probably the largest I've ever slept in: I had to shout to [my wife] on the other side of the bed. It was luxury personified."

People holidaying in the Maldives will find the beautiful weather and fantastic scenery most conducive to a holiday of luxury.

Parsons is widely known for presenting the BBC Radio 4 show Just a Minute, which he has done since it first aired in 1967. He has also appeared widely on television, presenting ITV's Sale of the Century for around a decade from 1972.
