Enjoy exquisite bays on luxury holidays to Cambodia

Travellers booking luxury holidays to Cambodia will find a selection of exquisite bays on offer.

The country was recently elected to the Most Beautiful Bays in the World Club, which seeks to bring together those coastal sites of the most natural beauty around the globe under one banner.

Its coastline stretches approximately 450 km across four provinces – Koh Kong, Sihanoukville, Kampot and Kep – and is one of the country's most popular tourist destinations, alongside the world heritage site at the Angkor Wat temple.

According to Tourism Cambodia, a delegation from the country took part in the 7th General Assembly of the club in a bid to get certification for Cambodia as a fully-fledged member.

The club focuses on the importance of protecting beautiful coastlines against the threat of climate change, and the general assembly considered topics such as climate change, forest resources and fisheries resources.

"At the Assembly, the Cambodian delegation has highlighted the importance of the club which is considered as the hub of international exchange for the coastal area development in a sustainable and responsible manner and of assisting in the encouragement of promotional campaign and tourist attraction," the tourism agency said.
