Tailor made holidays: Visit 'glamorous' Cape Town
Britons planning tailor made holidays in Cape Town will be able to try out numerous activities in the glamorous city, it has been claimed.
Travel writer Harriet O'Brien claimed that the city is the jewel in the crown of the Western Cape - the area of land which spreads across the southern edge of Africa.
She wrote on the Independent website: "Cape Town [is] a glamorous international gateway presenting easy access to a host of beaches, to the lush and dramatic mountains around which the region's burgeoning wine industry thrives, to the rugged attractions of the Cape Peninsula and, further east, to the natural playground of the Garden Route."
Ms O'Brien added that the city has something to offer everyone, with visitors able to indulge in retail therapy at boutique stores as well as adrenaline–fuelled activities such as hiking and surfing.
St George's Cathedral is another notable attraction, she added, as this was the former seat of Archbishop Desmond Tutu.
