Tailor made holidays: Stay in one of Santiago's many luxury hotels

Families planning tailor made holidays in Santiago will be able to choose to stay in a range of luxury hotels, it has been claimed.

Alejandra Saenz, press representative for the Europe and North America division of tourism agency Turismo Chile, claimed the Chilean capital is now home to stunning luxury accommodation.

She said: "In Santiago you can find top hotels like The Ritz, located in one of the best spots in the city, quite near to downtown. Also a boutique hotel called The Aubrey has just opened its doors, a beautiful restoration combined with unique history.

"Hotel W opened a couple of years ago and it's already one of the most in demand hotels in the capital. Its terrace has the most amazing view of Santiago."

Ms Saenz added that the country's winery region is just two hours from Santiago and produces "outstanding" wines which holidaymakers can sample and take home as a souvenir or gift for a loved one.
