Tailor made holidays: Ningaloo Reef is 'unspoilt paradise'

Britons planning to book tailor made holidays in Australia should pay a visit to the unspoilt paradise of Ningaloo Reef, it has been claimed.

Former England cricketer and TV presenter David Gower recently visited the reef following a friend's recommendation and was taken aback by the sheer beauty of the area.

He said: "[Ningaloo Reef has] an unspoilt and very long stretch of beach, a pristine and flourishing coral reef just 30 feet from shore and a small, but of course perfectly formed, camp sited 100 feet inland – with nobody else for miles around."

"The whole trip was a revelation for me and my family. Everyone was sad to leave this little piece of paradise."

The Ningaloo Reef is located in the North West Cape of Western Australia and is around 45 minutes away from the nearest town, Exmouth.

It is home to around 250 species of coral and 500 species of fish.
