Tailor made holidays: Experience something 'different' in Morocco

Britons planning to book tailor made holidays in Morocco will be able to experience something different in the country, it has been claimed.

Jamal El Jaidi, events and promotions manager at the Moroccan National Tourist Office, expressed his belief that the country offers holidaymakers something completely different from Britain.

He said: "Morocco is a very safe destination, very pleasant and is good value for money. It is under three hours flight from the UK. It is the closest African destination to Europe, so everything is different - the landscape, the culture."

Mr El Jaidi added that Britons are especially attracted to Morocco during the winter and predominantly visit the city of Marrakech.

Younger visitors can enjoy outdoor activities in the Atlas Mountains, while there are also a number of spectacular golf courses in Morocco.

According to Mr El Jaidi, 27 per cent more Britons travelled to Morocco in 2010 compared to the previous year, with more outbound flights and a recent advertising campaign thought to be the main factors behind the rise.
