Tailor made holidays: Enjoy culinary treats in Singapore

Food lovers planning tailor made holidays in Singapore will be able to enjoy a range of culinary treats in the country, according to a travel writer.

Nick Harman, writing for the Daily Express' new travel website tripideas.co.uk, recently visited the country and was impressed by the sheer variety of food available.

He said: "If a walk makes you hungry, you're in the right place. Food beckons you everywhere you go in Singapore, a magical spread of South-East Asian cuisine. You eat, enjoy and then you spot something irresistible and you happily eat again.

"No longer just a 'stopover' place, Singapore has become a main dish."

Guests should pay a visit to the ancient food court Maxwell Food Centre, according to Mr Harman, as holidaymakers could spend a month there "and not eat the same dish twice."

Mr Harman added that it is easy to travel between various restaurants in Singapore due to an abundance of taxis and a "well-designed" public transport system.
