Luxury ski holidays: Heavy snow hits European resorts
Those planning to go on luxury ski holidays this winter will be pleased to hear that many resorts have now been boosted by heavy snowfall.
Many resorts throughout Europe have not received fresh snowfall in recent weeks following the recent downpours over Christmas.
However, the past week (January 10th- 17th) has seen many locations in France, Austria and Switzerland blessed with more of the white stuff.
A spokesman for the Ski Club of Great Britain told the Telegraph: "Most European resorts are faring really well after heavy early-season snowfalls laid down an excellent base for the season.
"Some lower-lying resorts, particularly in Austria, have been experiencing some mild weather, so the best conditions remain at higher altitudes."
Those seeking luxury ski breaks further afield will also be pleased to hear that popular Canadian resort Whistler has also seen heavy snowfall, with the Ski Club of Great Britain predicting 80cm of snow during the week.
