Luxury Mediterranean holiday villas: Enjoy the 'dramatic' landscape of Mallorca
Britons staying in luxury Mediterranean holiday villas in Mallorca will be able to see dramatic landscape, it has been claimed.
Travel writer Martin Brunt expressed his belief that the island is not just a haven for youngsters and that the outskirts of the capital city Palma offers something for visitors of all ages.
He wrote on the Daily Mail website: "This part of the island was isolated until a road tunnel was blasted through the towering mountains in the mid-Nineties. Since then, more travellers are beginning to discover why Michael Douglas, Claudia Schiffer and other A-listers chose holiday homes nearby.
"You won't find many sandy beaches along this coast, but you will discover dramatic, plunging cliffs and remote coves and, inland, citrus groves and charming hilltop villages."
Mr Brunt added that holidaymakers can then make their way to the centre of Palma on a vintage train which winds its way through the picturesque suburbs.
