Luxury family holidays in Mauritius are 'heavenly'

Luxury family holidays in Mauritius are heavenly, it has been claimed

Comedian Alexander Armstrong, one half of comic duo Armstrong and Miller, went to Mauritius in 2008 with his wife and baby, who was six months-old at the time.

He told the Telegraph website: "It was heaven. It was the perfect age to go with a baby because he would contentedly sit up and gurgle very happily under an umbrella and loved nothing more than playing in the sand and swimming.

"We stayed in an amazing hotel called Le Prince Maurice, which is French. I've nothing against holidaying with English people, but it just feels all the more sophisticated for its Frenchness."

Mr Armstrong added that he enjoys stress-free holidays in which he can relax with his family.

He is planning to write about Peter Island, part of the British Virgin Islands, in the future, which he describes as "paradise".
