Luxury ski holidays: Val d'Isere is a 'good bet' for great skiing

Britons planning luxury ski holidays in France will discover that Val d'Isere is currently a good bet for great skiing, it has been claimed.

A spokesperson for the Ski Club of Great Britain claimed that it is one of the few resorts in France to receive a significant amount of snow recently, making it ideal for holidaymakers who are seeking to find ideal skiing conditions late in the season.

"The Pissaillas Glacier received an excellent, localised snowfall at the beginning of the week and some great powder could be found," they told the Telegraph website.

"With access to the Espace Killy area and Tignes only a hop, skip and a schuss away the area is extensive and challenging for even the best skiers."

They added that, although no snow is forecast to fall during this week (7th until 11th February), the low temperatures will ensure that all, especially those at high altitude, are in good condition.
