Zanzibar's beaches are among the "best" in the world

Zanzibar, an island located just off the coast of Tanzania, is an ideal destination for people planning to take a luxury tailor made holiday, as the coast is very impressive.

The Tanzania Tourist Board has said that whichever coast of the archipelago people visit on a tailor made holiday, the beaches are almost guaranteed to be among the "best in the world".

"On the east coast, waves break over coral reefs and sand bars offshore and low tide reveals small pools of starfish, small minnows, and anemones," the organisation noted on its website.

"Up north, ocean swimming is much less susceptible to the tides, and smooth beaches and white sand make for dazzling days in the sun."

So Tanzania - as well as being a great destination for people planning a luxury safari trip - is ideal for travellers who want to relax on a fantastic beach as part of their tailor made holiday.
