Tailor made holidays to Galapagos Islands will find 'many highlights'
People looking for a destination to visit on a tailor made holiday taking in fantastic nature should visit the Galapagos Islands, where there is "so many highlights" to visit.
Toni Darton, who is chief executive officer at the Galapagos Conservation Trust, which is a charity that raises funds for the sustainability needs of the islands, said that many people enjoy seeing fantastic and exotic wildlife in its native environment.
"Highlights [include] standing next to courting Blue-footed Boobies performing a touching mating dance to snorkelling with turtles and even penguins on the equator," she said.
"Every day brings something special. Perhaps the greatest thing is that everyone can feel like Sir David Attenborough and come back with photographs to rival the professionals."
Much of the wildlife found on the Galapagos Islands is endemic to the archipelago, meaning that it cannot be found anywhere else in the world. This is due in part to the remoteness of the island formation.
