Malawi is like 'nowhere else in the world'

Malawi is one of the best destinations in Africa for people planning to take a luxury safari holiday, according to a journalist writing in the Daily Mail.

Mark Palmer, the travel and property editor for the national newspaper, has said that people planning luxury safari trips should visit the south-east African country, as they will be able to take in the natural sights in relative solitude.

"Safari in Malawi … sounds a little unusual because this small … country has nothing like the reputation of its more illustrious neighbours when it comes to high-end gamespotting. But it soon will," he noted.

"The list of what you see goes on and on: dense pods of hippo, flotillas of crocodiles, legions of elephants, rhino, kudu, waterbuck, baboons and some 400 species of bird."

Mr Palmer added that the country - which is located near Tanzania and the Democratic Republic of Congo in Africa - is "like nowhere else in the world" for people looking for tailor made holiday destinations.
